If my supporting documents arrive in the Board office before my application is submitted will they be discarded?

No, they are held for a year from the date of receipt.

How do I apply to have Florida be my sponsor state?

You must submit an application.

Do I have to have a complete application on file with the State of Florida before I am eligible to take the PMLexis examination?

Yes

How often is the PMLexis examination offered?

The PMLexis is offered twice a year (June and December)

Do you accept reciprocity?

No

Do I have to complete one year of residency training prior to becoming licensed?

Yes. You must complete an application and notify the board office within 60 days of commencement of your residency program.

Will I be required to complete continuing education during the initial biennium?

Yes

How can I register for dispensing medicinal drugs?

Submit an application to dispense medicinal drugs and enclose a fee of $100.00. You will be required to renew this registration upon each renewal of licensure.

Can I receive CE credits for home study continuing education programs?

Yes. For the 2020-2022 biennial renewal period, there shall be no cap on the number of credit hours that a licensed podiatric physician may receive for continuing education hours obtained through home study continuing education.

If I took the PMLexis prior to August 1996, will I be required to take the examination again?

No.

I already have a user ID and password. Why do I have to register for a new account?

We have updated our MQA Online Services Portal to be more user-friendly. Registration is a one-time process and you can use your email address or a user ID that you will easily remember to set up your account.
